While sprints focus on incremental progress within a team, releases represent the integrated output of multiple sprints, ensuring that the final product is market-ready and delivers overall value.
PI Planning is a cornerstone of the SAFe framework and a major event for any ART. During this two-day session, all teams map out their work for the next Program Increment (typically 8 to 12 weeks). It’s a chance for everyone to align on goals, identify dependencies, and commit to a shared plan. This collaborative planning sets a clear direction for the upcoming cycle and builds a strong sense of accountability and unity among teams, paving the way for smooth execution and continuous improvement.
